WHS G&T Pupils visit Anglesey

Joshua Close, Lucy Graham and Danyal Prout took part in the recent residential field course in Rhoscolyn, Anglesey (15-17th May) along with gifted and talented students from schools across Bolton.


The emphasis of the course was on practical field study and the students completed field work in various weather conditions! Students investigated the plants and animals in the different zones of the seashore, estimated the weight of a wind turbine by measuring it's dimensions, observed the geology at South Stack and visited Wylfa nuclear power station.




There was also lots of walking, team building exercises and time to meet new friends. The students then presented their work to their family and friends at a presentation evening held at Bolton University.
